During our main meeting, usually led by the minister, we sing a mixture of contemporary and classic songs which are chosen to engage both mind and emotions in response to the Word of God. The younger children, aged six and under, can go to the Christ Church Tiddlers group if they want to. We also have a room for babies and toddlers where they can play and you can still listen to the talk.
At the heart of our Sunday meetings are two things that will help you to investigate Christianity further: firstly the Bible, clearly explained; secondly conversations with other people. We always expect there to be people at our meetings who are not Christians. We try and make everything that happens clear and accessible, even if you have not been to church before. You are more than welcome to just come along and listen in.
A similar format to Sunday mornings but no Tiddler group provided. We are a Deaf friendly church and a number of services are signed (level 3 signer). Please fax the church on 01244 813532 if you are Deaf and would like to come along so that we can ensure our signer is available. There is a hearing aid loop system installed in the building and tea/coffee and soft drinks are served at the end.
We want you to feel comfortable. After all, we are thrilled that you're joining us and want you to be more focused on the service than what you're wearing. There is no formal dress-code though smart casual is generally the norm. Some are happy in jeans and a t-shirt, while others prefer to still put on their "Sunday best". We think you'll fit in no matter how you dress.
Children are welcome at Christ Church Deeside. For those 6yrs and under we have a 'Tiddler group' who enjoy stories and craft while the main talk is happening. For younger ones and babies there is a room with a playmat and soft toys while parents or carers can hear the talk via a relay system.
